The Guerrilla Girls on Tour just left for their next gig up in Massachusetts, and I have to say I was very happy with their performances and the turnout for both the “Feminists are Funny” performance last night and their more serious “Creating Feminist Performance” lecture at the annual Women’s History Month Luncheon this afternoon
I’ll post some pictures up here soon. Meanwhile, share your thoughts about their visit here.

FEMINISTS ARE FUNNY!
Tuesday, March 4, 7pm
Torp Theatre, Davidson Hall
With Aphra Behn*, Julia Child * and Eva Le Gallienne *
Opening Film by Luana Di Pasquale - www.lunayoyo.com
Guerrilla Girls On Tour is a New York City based touring theatre company that creates fresh and original productions that celebrate women’s history — past, present and future. All Guerrilla Girls On Tour take on the names of dead women artists and when they appear in public they wear masks to conceal their true identities. They do this to focus on the issues of discrimination and racism rather than on their own personalities as well as to keep the herstory of women artists from fading into the footnotes and back pages of the history books.
For a preview, see their Youtube video “Are Feminists Funny?”
